Go-go is originally derived from Funk. but like i said before it has changed alot over the years there are several variations of it now. And yes Dance music is exactly what it is. Most people dont own Go-go CDs but everyone gets down at the Go-go clubs.

As for the video it reminds me of my dancer days. The company I was in did alot of African themed stuff had they know about this song I know it would have been used. Cool song like a reggae, gospel, and African mix!
Awesome that you got to work with her they all have great voices.

He is still holding out hope that it will someday spread across the country but after about 30 something years, I just dont see it happening. A few songs make it big though. They just usually get play on the hip hop stations.

Let me know if you like it cause I have meet a few New Yorkers who hate it. Even with me it is something I have to be in the mood for.

As for go-go most people think the same thing when I mention it. But umm you have probably heard a go-go song before but you just didn’t know it was go-go. Ever hear Sardines and Pork & Beans by the Junkyard Band? Well that is probably the most famous go-go song and one of the few that made it out of the DC metro area.

go-go is pretty cool music. I has been around longer than hip hop and it is cool to see it grow and progress. Sardines is more of a hip hop kind of go-go song but there are go-go songs that are more jazz inspired even rock.
There is even a go-go version of that a song my Ashley Simpson hahah way better than the original in my opinion. I am obligated to like go-go being from DC but until I dated him I really only knew about the more Hiphop sounding gogo. It pays to date a musicians they expand your musical repertoire.

Cool guy, he had great taste in music like most musicians. At the time he was in a go-go band (its a local thing you may not have heard of the genre of music) and played in his school’s band.

Musicians can be great passionate ambitious, and enthusiastic but.... they tend to be really needy and like a lot of attention. I am a bit to lazy to be that girl for them.
