Who's your favorite independent rock/pop artist?

I realized "what's a group without at least one discussion?" so I'm asking what everyone's favorite band is that's unsigned or is on an independent label. For me, it's Oh No! Oh My! or Jets to Brazil. Since I cheated, you could also pick two or three. It doesn't matter. I know it's hard to narrow it down to one.

FYI: I was gonna say The Postal Service but Sub-Pop is apparently owned by Warner Music Group, one of the Big Four. See? Ya learn something new every day.
