i don't get it why in the world they would realese this movie in summer time. is ridicoulos may be they knew the shity movie it was so they said lets make as much money as we can in the first weekend so we can move on with our lives and see if we can make something better for the next year.

From my understanding, a comedy has 2 main goals.

1: to make the audience laugh.
2: to entertain.

This movie totally misses on both aspects.

Fart jokes. Jack Black eating shit. Michael Cera pissing in his face. What's not to like? The answer is...Year One. With movies that are so generally regarded badly, you expect not to like it either. But even watching it without considering the other opinions, it still fuckin sucks. There's nothing (and I mean, NOTHING) funny about this movie. The "jokes" are lame as shit, and there's absolutely nothing redeemable about it. If you had to find something, it would be the occasional eye candy. It's not as bad as Meet The Spartans, but it's just as un-funny. I can't wait for the sequel, Year Two: Caveman Boogaloo.

I think it will be alot more easier to just rent any animated bible stories dvd and get drunk with a bunch of farting buddies . It 's alot more cheaper than paying to see this in theaters.

Fuck you guy's! I thought this movie was pretty damn funny all the way through. Do you guy's even know who directed this movie anyway?
