Meh. This movie was alright. Not good, but not bad. Rental.

I really don't think it was supposed to be a movie for kids. I'm glad it wasn't; I love how emotional and serious it is.

And Carlye, how could you say that the movie was a failure, it's like you didn't even see the movie

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs was so overrated. It didn't do anything new, and the imagination in that movie is nowhere near the imagination of Where The Wild Things Are. Wild Things doesn't drag. Plus, the movie was an hour and a half Leon :P lol. Seriously guys, SEE THE MOVIE AGAIN, there is alot more to this movie than you guys may have noticed in the first viewing. I have seen the movie quite a few times and I see something new everytime I watched it. Honestly Sherlock Holmes dragged more then this movie. Where the Wild Things Are will stand the test of time, it already has, you can't say that about cloudy with a chance of meatballs

Matinee Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and The Cat in the Hat are way better.

Saw this Yesterday. It was way to complicated for kids maybe this wasn't suppose to be a kids movie. I think the pacing was good, but I feel like something needed to be resolve at the end and maybe had something of a little longer ending with Max's mom. Shoulda cut out the dirt clod fight to a minimum. I'd say rental and it would be good for a Child Psych college class to dissect as a project.

Rental - I really liked the music and the scenery, but the movie was very slow. Definitely not a kids movie. Kids attention spans can not handle this movie and when you have a lot of kids in the movie theater, it's going to make for an annoying experience. Just wait to rent this one so you can watch it in the peacefulness of your own home. There were some thoughtful insights that remind you that even a child can teach you something.
