Honestly, this premise, amazing, I was really excited for this movie, and the first half of it I was having a ball, then they threw in Charlize Theron and the "villian" and all that, and it all went to hell, it really seems like they just got this great idea, they went where they went with it, then they were like, oh shit, what the hell do we do now, how do we end this? And just threw in all this half-assed stuff,

I'd like to see this character again, or at least this premise, maybe in a graphic novel or something, i'm not into that, but i'd buy it cause this is spectacular, just like I Am Legend, I love Will Smith and both those movies premises blew me away, both of their first halves had me giddy like a japenese school girl, then fell apart half-way through and were very unsatisfying and disjointed,

Final Review:
Someone who loves the concept or really likes Will Smith: High Matinee to "low" Full Price
Everyone else: Low Matinee

Very low rental. They had something going for the first half of the film but it quickly goes down hill during the second half. They pull out a twist involving Charlize Theron that was just ridiculous and totally misplaced. The most important narrative moment in a film is how it ends and since this ones ending is total crap I was disappointed.

I just watched this movie for the first time today, and I have to say that I agree with Carlyle and Korey....while the film is highly entertaining and, in the third act, deals with some interesting aspects of what it would be like to be a superhero in reality.....it fell a little short for me.
I just felt that after all the action and comedy that had occurred earlier in the film, the sudden transition to a more philosophical point of view felt a bit forced and out of place. And yes, the villain in the end was under developed and you didn't feel a connection to him at all, or any sense of fear what so ever. All in all? Rental.

As you heard, actress Britney Murphy, who was voice of Luanne Platter passed away this Sunday. She was quite a talented actress who was also best known for movie roles such as Clueless, Drive, Happy Feet, Sin City and 8 Mile.
