Comment by Santos on January 9, 2012 at 4:40am The most exciting scene for me was when Cruise and Renner were trying to keep up with the freight train in order to punch in the code. Very simple, nothing flashy and yet it had me on the edge of my seat.

It was an homage to the opening credits of the old tv show.
The original Brian DePalma movie did it as well.
Comment by Joshua Cavazos on January 8, 2012 at 2:36am Saw MI-GP two days ago, and without a doubt it is one of the best films in the franchise. I was impressed with the live action directorial debut of Brad Bird, he did a great job with this film. Definitely a Full Price film!!
Comment by MattPayneMPA on January 7, 2012 at 6:37pm I saw MI4 on Christmas day to an almost full theatre, and I was so surprised how much more I enjoyed it then I expected to!The first was ok,the second was amazing and my favorite, and the third one had some good moments,too.MI4 shows that there is still some great life left in this long running series.Great stunts, action and fun,and Tom Cruise shows that he can still helm the series well. One of my favorites of 2011,and a very easy FULL PRICE!! :D

Comment by Robin M on January 6, 2012 at 2:23am Just an aside to Microshock.
Let me open with the opening credit roll as setting a new bar for open titles sequences. It has to be competing with the best ever made. I mean no disrespect to the movie but the opening titles had me fired up. I think it was the best thing in the movie. When you consider the Dubai sequence, that's high praise.
But what I wanted to get to is that every episode of Mission: Impossible opened with moments from exciting tension filled things that would be happening in the episode you were about to watch. So like many things in this movie it was a homage to the original show. The hallway screen also had its roots in the tv series. But along with the tv series, Bird also tosses in a lot of tributes to the first film.
