Family Guy Season 8: Episode 4 - "Brian's Got a Brand New Bag" Part 2/2

Air Date:November 8,2009; Peter buys a copy of the film Road House and gains the desire to kick everything in sight. While driving with Brian using his feet, Peter crashes into a young woman's car. Brian apologizes to the woman and ends up asking her out on a date, which she accepts. By the time he comes to her house to pick her up, however, he learns from her mother, Rita (voiced by Nana Visitor[4]) that she had already impulsively gone out with another man shortly after Brian asked her out.

Soon Brian finds himself attracted to Rita, being a divorced mother, and secretly brings her home that night out of fear of being discovered by the Griffins, knowing he would become a laughing stock if they found out he was going out with a middle aged woman rather than a young, dumb blonde as he usually does. Of course, he bumps into the family by the next day and is ridiculed behind Rita's back. The Griffins ask how old Rita is, but Brian refuses to reveal her age, so they invite her to dinner with the intention of getting her to reveal it herself. Eventually Peter cannot contain himself and directly demands Rita's age. Rita breaks down and admits she's fifty, running off in tears. Brian becomes infuriated with the Griffins for always weaseling into his love life and goes to Rita to console and propose to her. Feeling terribly guilty, the Griffins give Brian their blessings.

While Brian makes love with her, Rita accidentally breaks her hip, prompting Peter to warn him that their relationship will not last much longer now that Brian must run errands for her. Brian goes out to get medicine for Rita while she's confined in bed, but sees a group of young women entering a bar and succumbs to the temptation of chatting them up. However, Brian quickly realizes he still loves Rita regardless of her age and admits what he did, but Rita determines that Brian is too young for her if he has desires to cheat on her and breaks up with him. Brian is heartbroken at first, but sees it's for the best after the two get into an argument, after she uses an old-fashioned term for a piece of furniture that he doesn't understand when asking him to leave her keys.
