I loved this movie. I thought it was gut-bustingly hilarious. But i will say this: there is a particular scene in the movie involving some swingers that I thought took it a little too far. I can't believe it didn't get an NC-17 rating. I usually never say anything like that but that's the one thing that just kind of made me feel a little too uncomfortable.
I cant wait to see this movie based on what everyone is saying. I will say I was kind of hesitant to see it because I was worried all the funny parts would have been in the previews. But it seems to be getting some pretty good reviews.
Not a theater movie. Its Just like borat, just with less of an impact cause we know the drill already. Like borat you'll watch it and pretend your disgusted because we're so smart and sophisticated. But in actuallity you'll watch it and have a good time with friends repeating all the funny parts and saying all the catch phrases. this movie is not anywhere near as funny as Borat, but still had some ok reality T.V. like moments that you can't deny America likes. Rent it, watch it. So you have something to talk about with your drunk friends.
Worst date movie ever! xD
It was funny, but more on the side where you were so discusted you needed to laugh.
Others, it was just cruel comical reasons. But this guy has guts xD
If you have seen the preview you have seen ALL of the best parts and shound *not* waste you money.
In short, this movie makes me question my lack of homophobia. If a straight person did the same stuff if would be equally offensive.
It really seems to kind of punk out the audience as if to say, "haha! You were so stupid for coming here."
I really have no idea what it takes to get an NC-17 rating these days since the "swingers scene" was basically a straight porno with only minor blurring. Actually, it was kind of worse than a porno, since it was just (more or less) "regular" people.
No matter how you feel about gays acceptance / lack of acceptance in society, this movie will likely delay acceptance of gays in society by at least 5 years.
Rating: RENTAL (IF SOMEONE ELSE PAYS FOR THE RENTAL.)
Bruno's dick needs its own movie. I think it would do just as well, if not better than this. Plus, it could have some great musical numbers.
The movie is alright, although you can tell he's trying so hard to offend people in this. It somewhat ruins the shack factor that was present in Baron's other film. Although, the outfits he wears makes up for it. Sort of.
The only reason I'd see this in theaters is to get a glimpse of other people's reactions to this. Kinda like Two Girls, One Cup. Otherwise, rent it, make some popcorn, and prepare to laugh.
During this movie I had to close my eyes at certain points, and I am not a squeamish person.
Despite it's flaws, I still had a great time.
A very hard movie to recommend to the average movie goer.
I'd give this a high matinee.

Vassup! I'm Bruno. This movie was very strange. Funny but strange. A little funnier than Borat. It was as successful as Borat, if not more successful! I would not see Bruno again in theaters. I'd rent it, but i would not own it. See it, if you wanna laugh.

After watching the movie and yes its probably the gayest movie I've ever seen I got to say that you guys really do complain about it being offensive all the time. Its a comedy, comedies are always going to offend someone. Yes he goes over the top but it's how absurd he is what makes it really funny. Borat did it with more subtlety but I hope you aren't so enclosed in the world to think that foreign people carry chickens around in their suitcases.
You scored a homerun with transformers, awesome, but going into bruno did you not expect over the top mega gayness?
edit: to add. I laughed my ass off in this movie, i think cyrus said it best, its great to go see it with a group of friends and bring a couple of girls along and watch their reactions
Note: I wrote this review originally for my Journalism Class. We had to do a movie, music or restaurant review. Obviously I chose the movie review. My teacher encourages us to publish our work and get it out there so this is my attempt at that,...
