I saw this movie with my girlfriend expecting to hate it... it really wasn't that bad though. I'd agree with a rental for the movie but if you want to go on a date it would be a good idea, you actually won't be bored through the whole thing. The borderline incest ideas were a really weird, but Effron is also really good in this film. He's one of those guys that us guys love to hate him, so it really pisses me off that he is a good actor... but he really is.

I just saw this movie going into it thinking it was going to be dumb as hell, but i actually liked it. I think you should have gave it a matine because i thought it was a really good film. Now true it isnt a full price movie, but its okay.

Trachtenberg and Mann are two of my favourite actresses. I don't know why they got stuck doing this movie. I remember growing up when Jonathan Taylor Thomas (JTT) from "Home Improvement" was the teen heart throb and my friends and I thought that the movie "Man of the House" was amazing. However when I watched it again recently, I realized that it was painfully bad (despite the famous celebrities like Chevy Chase and Farrah Fawcett present). In short it is easy for films to get around really weak story lines by putting the latest "It" guy in the movie. It may seem to be great for the age group it is aimed at but the rest of us realize how lame these movies are.

I just got back from seeing this movie, and i have to say that i was quite impressed. I think a Rental is a little harsh. I think the movie deserves at least a Matinee.

IMO Zach is going to be a fantastic actor, and those who bash him for his looks are the same who think wallies like Shia Lebouf and Mark Walburg are great actors. Trust me this kid is going to be the next Brad Pitt, meaning he will play a wide variety of roles, will be likeable and less annoying like ape-face Walburg, and yes the kid has looks, he's a stud but lacks arrogance. He reminds me of a young Brad Pitt and like Pitt, your going to see him jump on some really unique and cool roles when he gets a couple of more years on him. Like other good actors, once he finds his footing this guy is going to own hollywood.

Ghostwriter, I haven't seen the movie, but I don't think he traveled in time to anywhere, he got converted back to a 17y old version of himself in the present, he just got younger that is, same timeline, same life, different body age.
