I believe most feminists IRL have that equalist mentality. I've rarely met a feminists that acts like the worst tumblr has to offer. I get that a select few of feminists out there are ignorant but for some reason, some guys think that validates their misogyny which it doesn't.

That's like saying I'm allowed to be racist because groups like the Black Panthers exist.

Agreed, there are several different kinds of feminists, and sadly some of the best feminists on the planet are being overshadowed by some of the worst, yet those worst ones tend to be the most extreme in their views and beliefs. I read an article recently where some feminists have taken to calling themselves "equalists" to avoid the stigmas and stereotypes of being called a "feminist," and while I can't say I fully agree that a different label is necessary, I do understand the urge to try and distance themselves from the "feminazis" which have been creeping up on Tumblr and Youtube as of late.

Well, there are different kinds of feminist. I'm the kind that can recognized things should be dutch, equal, not upheld more then men, but truly equal. Boys should be able to play with Barbies and girls should play sports without being judged. If I got married, which I don't think I will, I don't want a ring, I want to be loved. But I'm not a normal kind of girl. ;3
