I totally see your point Lupin.  I just also see the potential to continue moving forward with a series towards no end when a really tight well written arc given cinematic quality animation will really do the series justice and tie everything up nicely.  Remember Asoka is simply a plot device created to help us see the world of the Clone Wars through unbiased eyes, but the driving force behind the narrative from a writers perspective does appear to be Anikan. In essence Asoka is the audience, but she is also what Anikan was supposed to be following episode I.  You summed it nicely in your response.

With that said, I like the Asoka character, but I've never seen her as being necessary to the plot nor do I think she should be viewed as a "driving" force because the potential for narrative confusion is too strong with a character like her.  That's just my opinion thought.  I've completely enjoyed the Clone Wars series, which is why I want a highly articulated conclusion and segue into a new series that maintains the quality we've enjoyed thus far.  ;-)

If we follow Anakin we are going to be following him into defeats and deaths of his enemies and nothing more.

Latina, I disagree, the fcet is the clone wars series ISN'T Anakin's story and in fact has laid the ground work pretty well with Anakin's turn. remember this is After episode 2 where he slaughtered a village and over the last 5 seasons it's been shown that Anakin is growing very wary of the jedi order leading to two very episode 3 like outburst toward the consul(one being when Ahsoka first went on the run and the 2nd when they expelled her).

What clone wars is about is the effect the war has on the entire galaxy with our lead being Ahsoka Tano who goes from wide eyed idealist who does everything by the Jedi code to a disillusioned ex-jedi who's watched friends die all around he or betray her. Also following Ahsoka gives us a better idea of what's going on in the Galaxy at Large as you're not following someone who's pre-destined to anything.

I'm ok with this. I'd prefer a tight OVA style ending where everything gets pulled together leading to Ep 3 and leave it at that. 5/6 seasons enough to tell a story like this. SW isn't based on a manga like Bleach, DBZ, or One Piece so there's no need to keep milking the animated cash cow with needless filler eps. Season 6 should focus entirely on what went down in the months leading to Anikan's turn. We get it, he was a loyal, nobel, and complex guy at odds with what he recognized as being a complacent and very flawed system. His secrets, lies, and idealism made him an easy target for a much smarter and far more sinister antagonist. The End! A highly articulated series focusing on the Rise of The Empire would be perfect right now since most fans would like to know what the "Lucas" take is on the events post Ep III pre New Hope.

Wild you know they could keep going into the new series with those who didn't die inbetween order 66 and the death of Dark Vader? meaning they could pick up with a now 30 something year old Ahsoka

Season 6 will be the final season. I really like Star Wars the Clone Wars, but it has run a bit long. As long as they finish up all of the story arcs, this will be a good time to end the series.
