No. In books 5 and 6 Greg was in his 1st semester of 8th grade.
The 7th book takes place in Feburary. So Greg is in his 2nd semester of 8th grade.
Book 8 will take place in March, April or May and by then Greg will be in his third or fourth and final semester of 8th grade.
Then a 14 year old Greg goes to High School.
