It sounds like they are trying to really push that new naval minigame from AC3, which I really liked. It is odd that they would even try to go with pretty much the same era, I was hoping for China/Japan, or France for the next one. Oh, well I will wait and see how this plays out.

After that 'ship battle' gameplay during AC3 it seemed like the most reasonable way to go. I can't wait !

Further rumors suggest that it will involve Edward Kenway, the father of Haytham and grand-father of Conner. You'll be able to travel to Cuba, Jamaica and it will have as a basis the fact that Edward traveled by ship to numerous parts of the world to complete missions for the Assassin Order. At a point during his mission he pretends to be a pirate or actually becomes a pirate or something like that. I consider it to be a weird idea. Not to mention that it would be the first Assassin's Creed game to take place before one of its previous titles (of course not taking into consideration the smaller games like Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles, Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, et cetera).
