The actor and actress was amazing to watch on screen because they had so much charm and life in their facial and body expression. Doing a Silent Black&White film is very hard sell Today, but with the right actors and director you can make hit. Just like the film "THME!"

At the end of the movie, the director of the musical calls out audibly, "Cut!" to which Al Zimmer says "Perfect. Beautiful. Could you give me one more ? " George Valentin replies "With pleasure!" revealing his strong French accent. The camera then pul ls back to the sounds of the film crew as they prepare to shoot another take.

I rented The Artist last June.

I thought The Artist was a fantastic, charming and fascinating romantic comedy-drama movie about a silent movie star learning to remember the past the way that he wants to remember it and enjoy that new things that is going on in his life, get help from his friends during hard times and that progress in movies is certain to happen.

The movie has a great screenplay and amazing directing by Michel Hazanavicius, wonderful acting performances from Jean Dujardin as George Valentin, Bérénice Bejo as Peppy Miller, Uggie as Jack the dog, John Goodman as Al Zimmer and James Cromwell as Clifton the driver and very entertaining music created and compose by Ludovic Bource.

I give The Artist 5 out of 5 stars and I hope you enjoy The Artist.

I wanted to get The Artist on DVD so badly because along with Hugo it's a movie that every movie lover should own because it's a love letter about how movies were born.
