The bar is set so low for the Die Hard franchise that literally ANYTHING that happens will garner positivity from the easily-pleased fanbase it inexplicably still has. They want meddling action movies with Bruce Willis going pew-pew with his big ol gun, they GOT meddling action movies with Bruce Willis going pew-pew with his guns.
At least back in the day they had the courtesy of putting this sort of bullshit straight to DVD instead of cluttering theaters with it.
