Well it helps out the retailer move and circulate stock to modest budget gamers who don't believe a video game is worth $50-60 brand new. For example fighting games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter are constantly, CONSTANTLY being updated when you shouldn't have to pay THAT much for tweaks. So it does serve a purpose. 

I just wouldn't buy a game from Gaybre because chances are he wiped his ass with it...y'know villains and their silly plots. :p

I have a problem with the price of games. I understand something like Mass Effect's 60$ Price tag, but Call of Duty, or any other games that make cash from DLC should cost less. As well as games with low production costs. More people would buy new if the pricing model changed.
