I love Gone Baby Gone. That's a big Actor's/Writer's movie that if there were up to 10 noms would've/should've been nominated in '07.

Yeah I forgot about that too. I think this is the only film he directed that was truly "Oscar-worthy" but I think he still has a long career ahead of him.

I'm biased on this one but I think Les Mis was a far bigger achievement from a directoral stand-point. Recording the music live, and doing it well is something few directors can accomplish (especially since no one has ever done it before).
