When you consider it's the 2K(the omnicorp teaser says the RC-2000) model they've probably redesigned him (100s of unofficially and officially) over a dozen times. So I wouldn't expect him to, especially in our age of microtansmitors, he's much more like Asimo(http://lfpictures.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/asimo1.jpg) than T-800 as it should be due to the leaps of tech we've had since the original film was made

when you compare the original with the current suit. the original had more robotic elements to it, the current one kind of looks like a guy in a suit.

I'm too much of a stickler for fine details to let basic look (which if it was sliver and black like the original these complaints would instantly cease and everyone would think it's corny looking)

hey what happened to your status? lol its the colour mixed with the plating style to it. sure it has it's own design but with it being black you can't see the fine detail. I would say that it has some inspiration from batman, black is kinda meh. It's not awe inspiring and not taking a risk at all.
