In my experience, there are MANY ways to be considered a geek, and be careful, being a "geek" can get you hurt or killed. How  geeks are classified comes down to a few things:

1. Like video games

2.Like anime

3.Like comics

4.Like movies

5.Be very knowledgeable in academic subjects

 

Regardless, always remember to make sure that you are fine with who you are, no matter what.

The point is you're beginning from the wrong angle, being a geek has nothing to do with knowledge, it's all feeling. Someone can be a geek about something they know nothing about. There's no proof to that; all you can do is truly and purely love something, there's no way to give evidence, you can just express how you feel and whoever needs proof can only take your word for it, no information is truly meaningful nor required. Short answer is they don't, they can't, they just are.

I didn't say you have to I'm just wondering. What would someone have to say to make someone believe "oh that person is a geek!"

Well, if you actually listened, you would know that the folks at the good 'ol League said that you DON'T have to prove that you are. That's the glory of good geeks - we're accepting. If someone accuses you of not being a geek, then they're being an ass-hat, and that doesn't really affect you.
