Yeah i get what you are saying i just don't agree on judging people based off the possibility of something they may or may not do..imagine if thats how courts worked? but if you do thats fine

My main point is that you not purchasing Chick-fil-a doesn't hurt the ceo who made the statement but it does hurt the people who work at your local restaurant earning little to nothing that have done nothing wrong in this case.

To me a possibility is enough to judge if I will or won't do something, and the huge possibility that he is funding anti-gay rights is enough to make never want to purchase from Chick-fil-a. The employees who are gay and feel like wanting to get married should take a stand.

Funding the denial civil rights that'd help gay people make sure their partner is left their life insurance. Not to mention the denial of civil liberties such as riding in an ambulance(only family or husband/wife), or the ability to sign the "pull the plug" form, isn't hurting someone? Okay...

Everything you just said Arsene is based off the possibility of these things, which you could be right on, but we just don't know, therefore i'm not going to just to any conclusions on what he does with his money. And either way whether I agree with him or not, its HIS money and in this country he has the right to do whatever he wants with his money as long as he is not funding terrorism, hurting others etc.

Actually, his money could be used to anti-gay rights movements(we don't know as we ain't seeing his check book), and if so, we're putting that money in that man's pocket to put toward the denial of your friend's right. If you don't see that there is a possibility that a mutli-millionaire, who is PUBLICLY anti-gay marriage wouldn't be putting money toward anti-gay movements, you are lying to yourself.

@ Arsene, ok well the CEO isn't actively putting money to denying gays rights, he just said he doesn't believe they should be married. CFA doesn't stop gays from working there or eating there. I have a gay friend who works at chick-fil-a and he has no plan on quitting his job. To me personally i don't see the point in punishing the ppl that work at CFA earning minimum wage that have done nothing wrong by wanting the place they work for to go out of business. What have they done to have people say they are horrible people for working at chick-fil-a??

@ Arctic Douche while that is true, you should read the stuff about the working conditions of these workers and see that in some cases a lot of these people have no choice and no workers rights at all.

@ Nightshadow exactly tons of companies do this and no one says anything or ever gets as upset as I've seen some spill members get over this chick-fil-a thing

difference is that's Chinese labor laws(which applies to almost 'made in china' product) that are the issue not the CEO putting money toward denying the rights of American citizens
Comment by Nightshadow on August 2, 2012 at 2:17pm
Apple is not the only company that does this. Nike, Hershey and most clothing companies use these types of labor. Unlike CFA they don't come out in public and admit it, so no one complains.

EXACTLY! THAT'S EXACTLY RIGHT!
