Im not sure but i read that they are including different Tolkien sources, like The Silmarillion, The History of Middle-earth, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, etc.
Still this could be a shameless money grab but i will wait till i have watched the first movie before i jump to any conclusions.

@FMC: Yeah pretty much.
And if it was ANY other franchise, people would be bitching about how much of a shameless money grab it is and how typically Hollywood it is.....but since it's The Hobbit, oh it's ok now.
