@Cat Fondling.. by the time they reached success on the third movie it really didn't matter for harry potter.. . especially since the books were still being released while movies were being made... my balls are still dry.  maybe if you would have said Harry Potter 1 i would give some reasonable amount of shit to your argument as because at the time the first movie was released there was already a trilogy of books released. Chris Columbus is a fan of the books..   by the time they reached the 7th movie it was already garunteed to be a success box office wise no matter who directd it.. and by the way.. the 6th movie.. was ass...

Its niot just thebudget. But it also takes an understanding of what a fan wants and a respect for the series that you are recreating.  Look at the Hunger Games. it only cost like 70 million, but a fan, Gary Ross , made it work. now.. lok at something with a similar budget, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, and look how ass the verdict turned up.. if you want big budget movies.. look at The last airbender... M. Knight Raped it to shit, and it cost 150 million.  so i do not agree with you about bugetry..

I've watched enough to know that fans do justice with a decent sized budget. mortal kombat legacy, Street Fighter Legacy, Grayson, Star Wars Makazie, Dragonball Absalon, HALO: The Fallen.. i could go on.. and these are all unofficial.
