Stupid character limit... what I was saying is: The VideoMics are great mics if you're going to have something attached to the camera (I always prefer to bring a friend and use a boom). With the Magic Lantern firmware, you might need to tinker with the settings slightly to adjust for the manual audio controls, but it's a solid mic and the shockmount is well built. It does cut out a lot of the camera noise and background noise (like wind, roadnoise, etc). If you're going to go with a mounted microphone on the camera, I can definitely recommend the Rode mics.
Web series is going good. I'm trying to get on my people as much as I can here from El Paso until I get back to Austin. It's hard to be a hardass when you're 500 miles away. Our goal is to get Ep. 2 done by next weekend. And I'm trying my best to go by that deadline. As far as where things are headed, let's just say they go into sci-fi territory here, and crime drama there.
