A man dressed as Santa Claus has raided a safe at a shopping centre in Sydney’s southwest.
Police have released images of the man, who escaped with a large sum of cash after forcing his way into a store at a shopping centre in Sydney's western suburb of Liverpool at about 8pm (AEDT) on Sunday.
The man had a red sack and walking stick and was pushing a shopping trolley.
He broke into the office of a shop and raided the safe before fleeing the scene.
The store was closed but the shopping centre was open at the time.
