I believe that Strength and Honour is actually an Irish Film. It was filmmed in Cork, Ireland and everyone's is protrayed as Irish in the film. Could be British, I'm not really sure, but I think it's Irish. It's won several festival awards and is by Mark Mahon. Like I said it's a story you've seen before, but it's still done really well and should definitely be watched.
Hey, Phil. Is this a Brit pic? If so that's probably why we haven't heard of it. I'll look it up.
Hey, Ryan. What pics were removed? I don't recall removing anything, but maybe another site manager did. Were they pornographic or explicit in some way?
What's up guys, I'm not saying you should do a review for it or anything but if you havn't already you should check out Strenth and Honour. It's not a movie you havn't seen before, I mean you've probably seen the same plot a thousand times but I think it was done really well and you'd probably really enjoy it.
Could you guys please do a review of the movie "I'm not there"? The movie is about Bob Dylan and I just watched it a few hours ago. Absolutely amazing performances, story and cinematography. As you can tell I just love this movie, but I'd like to hear what you guys think.
Ok, I posted this on Carlyle's page but I assume it will get answers faster here.
Alright, you spill guys seem to know you film so this question really goes for all of you, I just happened to be on Carlyle's page when I thought of it. I know you review movies that come out to theaters but do you ever think about doing reviews on independent films that are only being released to dvd, or old movies that are finally being released on dvd? I also wouldn't mind seeing what you guys think movies before you see them sort of trailer reviews and then a follow up after the movie. There's a lot I can say about movies based upon what I've seen in the trailers and I'm sure you guys would have some funny s**t to say. Also when the hell are we ever going to start seeing some more original ideas again. I mean why the hell does everything now days seem to be an adaptation of a tv show, book, graphic novel, or a remake, or yet another sequel. I mean have people seriously just up and decided to stop thinking? Is that what our world has really become? Have we all become such mindless drones that we need even our movies that we use to escape reality to all become more of the same. Why can't more independent stuff do better, I mean why can't we have more original ideas like Wristcutters A Love Story, I mean come on does everything just have to be regergitated froms of other types of creative work. I mean what is hollywood thinking. I mean how many of the reviews that even you guys have done have even been something original and not a remake or based on something that's already been done or written? It drives me crazy being a starving filmmaker and avid movie fan, I'm sure you guys have similar feelings. One last thing, I know you guys do your job well, but how can you possibly actually go out and subject yourself to such sh**tty movies like Bratz and Norbit and stuff? I mean you have to know that these movies are going to be horrible before you even think about setting foot into a theater to see them. I know you're going to have some funny ass comments afterwards but why do it? I couldn't drag myself into some of the worst movies to ever be made in history without wanting to kill myself or severely harm others afterward. You guys don't get paid enough to have to go through stuff like that. Ok I think I'm done ranting for a little while, well at least to you guys. There are always more rants to be had.
