Sorry Leon, but this is gonna be another video game comment (left here because the ACOCO comment is discussing a much more important subject right now)
Leon, you are trying to judge video games through the lens of movies. Gameplay and story are not and cannot be divorced in video games. A game's story is not just expressed via cutscene and dialogue (to be fair, a lot of game devs make this mistake when making games too). It is also expressed via the actions you take, how you take them, what you can and cannot do.
The current, crowning example, of game as story comes with Spec Ops: the Line. I really urge you to take a look at this game. It isn't, strictly speaking, fun to play (No self gratification, and the game plays like a CoD clone. Of course this is all in subversion of standard gaming tropes). But it tells one of the best stories in any medium, though it takes many themes from Heart of Darkness.
I was listening to ACOCO and when you talked about how you hated TMZ it reminded me of this clip. Basically, it is a video of Joseph Gordon-Levitt recording the paparazzi before he got famous. This is what made me hate paparazzi companies like TMZ.
Hey Leon I heard you say that Resident Evil Retribution was like a video game and Korey recommended a game called Red Dead Redemption. I don't know if you will take Korey up on that offer but to convince you that you should.Watch it, Go buy it and Play it, Leon for it is phenomenal.
Ran into Jason Neulander at a performing arts conference last week. I told him how much of a fan I was and how I first learned about Intergalactic Nemesis through LEOG. Needless to say, hearing that made him REALLY happy and he had nothing but the absolute nicest things to say about the whole Spill Crew. Just thought I'd share that with ya! :)
