Dude I just went to the fork and screen site for showtimes and Avengers is absent from the showtime lineup on May 4. I believe an conversational assembly is in order just to be safe here
Thanks for the recommendations man! My weekend was crowded so I couldn't see any new releases but I did manage to see Chronicle and thought it was outstanding. Truly a great drama with science fiction and superhero elements, I can't wait to watch it again.
Maybe you could send out a message where we can all share our emails and then go from there
I'm right with you, Drag me to Hell was incredibly fun.
It's been nearly a week since I've seen any TV show/film- I feel like Abed after the dreamoroium was altered.
Fork and Screen currently has the showtimes for the 3rd so I'm guessing they'll have the Avengers stuff up soon. Right now a 6-8'ish showing looks best for me because I have a meeting in Sandy Springs in the afternoon which isn't to far from that AMC. Maybe are team should do a group chat or or something? Get scheduling details and such straightened out.
Yeah, I think I was just looking for something more directly emotional from the characters. But I am looking forward to putting it on my top 10 and re-watching it once released, so good!
Parts of it reminded me of Raimi's Drag me to Hell- loved that one, did you check it out?
I want to see Raid soon, it's on my list for sure thanks for the recommendation.
Had to be one of the most genius scripts I've ever seen on screen. I loved the setup
and the character pathos along with some passionate performances just made it beauty.
I was laughing out loud at some parts and was largely impressed with the lighting and direction is some creepier scenes. So I dId love the movie but was not in love with the ending. It kinda killed mood, it seems like I'm that one guy that just didn't get it lol. But anyways totally great, veering between a 9.5
to a 10
That's cool. I'm really glad all the early reviews for the Avengers are positive- looks like it will indeed kickass.
I did love the latest community. The set pieces and writing were so sharp, and Bree looked great as always. I'm really invested in the future of the Troy/Britta romance and how Annie ruined the dreamotorium.
Also I'm planning to see Cabin later on tonight, pretty pumped.
So far the closest thing to a spoiler I've heard is premise-level, so I think I'm safe for now.
Sounds like a plan, we can just play it by ear... or erm text like we've been doing, I'm sure the pre-orders will be up any day.
Take Shelter would have absolutely ranked in my top 3 of 2011 if I had seen it last year. The actors are incredible (both van alden and eli from boardwalk are in it!) and Jessica chastain gives her years best in my opinion. It's really atmospheric and dumbfounding I'm sure you'll dig it.
This article interested me. It's about the digital, ultraviolet age taking over DVDs and blu-rays, which kinda pissed me off considering I invested a lot in DVD to blu-rays. Like to know what you think
I have yet to hear one thing short of excellent referring to Cabin, I'm gonna make a priority to see it, screw these finals haha.
That's good, and a Friday is looking good on my schedule right now. What do you think about pre ordering the tickets considering the gravitas of the Avengers hype?
I just saw Take Shelter last night, have you seen this one?
Yeah man, everyone's saying Cabin is freakin excellent. You liked it even more than Chronicle? I gotta go see this.
That's good to hear some of the core cast is returning for Anchorman 2.
I just saw the Fighter at last and thought it was amazing. I really liked Warrior but not as much as everyone else, but this movie on the other hand had some of the best acting and emotional buildup of any sports movie I've ever seen.
Good, good. 3D is frequently hit or miss but my motto for this film is "I believe in Whedon" so I'm all for it.
OK hopefully that theater is in reach for Dubya. I'm checking my schedule over the weekend, it'd be sweet if we could make it opening day.
Yeah I'm pumped for anchorman 2. I loved the original because at is base its a really simple and trope ridden plot but the performances were larger than life and he dialogue was incredibly obscure and lively. The perfume wih actual bits of panther in it along with the jazz flute scene just make it classic for me. And freakin Carrel was amazing, hope he comes back. What do you think of Farrel's career currently aside for Anchorman?
I was about to go to the Fork and Dine last year, but still have yet to visit. It sounds like a great place though! I'm sort of putting every once of faith into this film so I think we should go for the 3D. In general do Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays work better for your schedule?
Also some more Anchorman 2 news just popped, what was your opinion of the original?
I was really entertained during Bridemaids, I think Kristen Wiig is just unbelievably talented.
It seems everyone is going crazy for the Hunger Games, are you a fan of the books at all?
And yeah I was just about to ask you about that. Also what theater do you think would be good since all of us should probably pre-order tickets if possible. I usually go to the Movie Tavern or the Regal at chamblee. We need an Alamo or Violet Crown, lol
Yeah I also hope they can resolve this thing, I respect them both a lot. Can't wait to see that episode of Community!
For me I'm really anticipating Avengers, The Amazing Spiderman, TDK Rises, Prometheus (best motherfu*king cast ever!), and The Hobbit especially. I'm sort of uneducated with any original movies/oscar bait coming out after summer but I'm sure they'll be some surprises as always. I'm pretty curious for Skyfall as well, what do you think about the Craig Bond series?
Wow, Harmon and his team are so awesome that makes a lot of sense now. I freakin love John Goodman's role and the Evil Abed subplot, I can tell we're gonna be in for a helluva finale. I just hope Chevy sticks around, you hear about the feud going on with him and Harmon?
Yeah I need to really check out Chronicle since I love superheroes and I'm a big fan of the cast in Jeff who Lives at Home. As of now I really am fond of The Grey and Haywire, both blew way past my expectations.
Sorry that was spoiled for you. I usually don't mind being spoiled but when it comes to twists/character deaths it just becomes fowl. If you loved Breaking Bad up until now you will be stunned with season 4. I'd say it's one of the most remarkable pieces of art ever produced, should be released around June I believe.
Happy Easter! Yep those are my favorite episodes this season as well. I love the way the overall arc is unfolding, they're really trying something new.
Glad you're enjoying Boardwalk, truly a great series and it will get even better in S2. Hope you can see Thrones and Homeland soon, you'll probably really dig them both.
Just curious what are some of your favorite films so far in 2012?
Yeah dude I love Regular Show and Adventure time is great to watch too. Breaking Bad is by far my favorite series but I'm really into Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, Archer, Community, Parks and Rec, and Homeland. It's crazy how much good TV there is right now. I just saw the last Community episode it blew my mind!

Have you seen yesterday's community? I think I'll watch it tonight, everyone says its modern warfare/ zombie dance level goodness
As for the group chat the easiest way would be if we all have gmail and just 3 way it. Or maybe we could use the LEOG chat

Casino Royale is one of my favorite movies, Quantum is pretty good as well. But I trust Mendes will do a great job taking it in a fresher direction.
Have you seen Jumpstreet? I gotta say that's my favorite movie of the year so far it truly surprised me

Thanks for the button update, dude! EP is the best. Hey are you keeping up with any cool TV series at the moment?
