I can see why some people may not like or will hate Steve Carell's humor, but at least he's doing a variety of roles instead of playing one-note most of time (ex: Will Ferrell, Jon Heder).
Like in Anchorman he plays a slightly-mentally challenged weatherman where as Little Miss Sunshine he plays as a homosexual Proust scholar (though his tone in that film is really toned down).
