You don't need to post it...I'll just make fun of you now :-P
Well once you're around give me a ring-ding ding and we'll go watch a badass movie...or smoke crack...I dunno whatever all the cool kids are doing.
I agree about the racism on the podcast. It's not really my favorite thing to deal with.
For sure we have to flake out hang out this winter. How long are you gonna be down for? Yes I'm still at B & N.
How's the documentary going? When can I watch it and make fun of you?
cool! is that a real product or is it just made up? either way i think you did a good job and good luck with the competition. my only criticism is that at the end the background music was a little loud that i couldn't hear the last few parts of what your actors were saying. but overall nice job!
cool, you should put up your 16mm anyway. i would like to see it and i have two experimental shorts that i just got done a few weeks ago. one is a 8mm film and the other digital. my 8mm is color and i was inspired by maya deren and the movie dr. caligari, and i used sound bits from a song by incubus.(the sound still isn't perfect) my digital was for my video 1 class and i had to incorporate stock footage from whatever. my main theme for it all was the destruction of land, so i have incorporated farmland and fields with footage of the wizard of oz(dorthy singing over the rainbow) against a construction site that i shot with footage from fight club. sounds weird but i think it all worked out.
you should put up your stuff for others to see. most of the members on here are kids that aren't even in college let alone going to school for film. if they were they would know that every film maker has got some kind of experimental film under there belt.
i've already worked with the bolex, that short is posted on my page. and i've worked with a ari s which a smaller camera then the bolex but holds the same type of film. i just finished up a colored film with that camera. i could have used a 16 mm camera but i wanted to be able to move the camera around so i choose the ari s. only difference from the bolex is that it runs off a battery pack. as for film students have to buy there own film and get it developed. my school just supplies us with the equipment. how about yourself?
Thanks a lot on the critique ,your the first person to really point out things to me that I can improve on. Anybody else will just say what they like, and the ones who don't like it won't say what can be improved.(probably b/c their 13 yr olds who don't know any better..lol) But from on ecollege film maker to another I say thanks for being real with me and all the stuff you said I really appreciate and will take them into consideration on my next project. That most likely will be a documentary I don't want to be stuck in just one genera.
Thanks Super. My holiday was good saw some family i am finally back home and thankful for it.
What song are you talking about?
Well i am glad you like it anyway my love for music and my love for movies are definitely in constant competition.
