When I say my favourite movies I do not mean the movies out there that are said to be “cinematic masterpieces”, I am saying movies that are suited to my taste, movies that I just love, movies I feel I can watch 10,000 times and still want to watch them again and again. Now, like you said Shawshank Redemption, I do think that movie is completely brilliant and I do enjoy watching it, but I do not WANT to watch it constantly because it just doesn’t hype me up as much as MY favourite movies do, movies like 300,Moulin Rouge!, Practical Magic, and yes The Dark Knight are a few of my favourite movies not because of what anyone else thinks they are…but, because I enjoy them completely and just can’t get enough of them...I know you probably don’t understand what I just said…but it’s how I feel, and hopefully you won’t criticize me because I happen to have most of my favourite movies be ones that you don’t see as masterpieces.
and whoa!..I was just WAYYY serious..sorry..HAHA
Other than that seriousness there..LOL..
