Wow. I'm usually better at remembering stuff like that. I'll have to pay more attention to our conversation next time (perhaps I was really tired).
Yeah, I don't know if you've ever heard of Richmond. It's actually got some pretty interesting history as a helping hand in the birth of jazz. There's also some really cool art that's been in the museum for years. Too bad the place has gone all to hell since then. I wouldn't wish residency...or visitation on anyone.
So, I'm just kind of noticing that you're from Indianapolis. I actually live like an hour away from there...in a little part of Indiana that you'll most likely never pass through. Else you won't notice if you do pass through it. XD
What about Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy? Did you like it, I wasn't thrilled by it at all.
In response to Jason, I agree, Jackie Brown and Kill Bills were great, but the female protagonists are not very distinct from his male characters, they seem the same. Anyways, my point really was that he can't write dialogue for women well. I think he makes his female characters way too similiar to his male characters, but who knows maybe he will make a disctinctive female character in the future.
I have to disagree, Death proof was not, in any way compatible with his other films. He can write for women. Kill Bill, and its sequel. It's the lack of wanting to make a great film. He was lazy. And I agree with Mos Def being a great actor. He is waiting in the wings for something big. He made 16 Blocks, and I thought that it was great. And Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. I love the books better than movies, but that was right on the money. He could be a Don Cheadle style actor. "Be kind rewind" was a disgrace. He acted well. but Jack Black is terrible and should not be in the same shot as Danny Glover. He has no talent. And I know the argument of him being able to play music, and being loud and acceptable for some certain age demograph that likes that kind of overwhelming crap. But come on! When is that guy ever going to do something different? It's like trying to watch Will Smith do something where he is not the Main Actor. It won't happen. (Besides Jersey Girl) I just have negative feelings for the movie, and the structure was crap. And why does he always need a female lead for his movies?(Back to death Proof) Is he, in anyway possible, trying to prove a point? Silence of the Lambs made that happen. Try again Tarantino...
I just got a love on for Mos Def, whatever he's doing, I like him a lot. I haven't seen "Be kind, Rewind" yet, people are not saying very good things about it, but how can a Michel Gondry flick, with Mos Def fail? Anyways, I have high hopes for Mos Def and his acting career.
If I could add one more thing to the Death Proof business, is that after having watched it, I immediately felt that he cannot write for women; the dialogue scenes were lacklustre in comparison to other Tarantino scenes, however, in comparison to other movies, Death Proof still stands apart as being a better film.
When they call it 'Fantastic', they weren't kidding.
Fantastic Mr. Fox is based on a children's book 'Fantastic Mr.Fox' by Raold Dahl. Mr. Fox (George Clooney) is 7 fox-year old newspaper columnist, who is married to Mrs. Fox (Meryl Streep) and...
If it's crap... We'll tell you
