Forever was a mess. Just thought i should share Geabox's reasons for acquiring the license. I see no reason for them not to release Duke as a downloadable BL2 character. Hell, Make it part of a whole Nukem themed expansion. He fits right in with the craziness of Borderlands. It would be almost garanteed to be DLC of the year for 2013, and one hell of a way to breath new life into a dying brand.$$$

Gearbox didn't make Crap Nukem Forever. So yeah, a true Duke Nukem developed by them would most likely be awesome.
Gearbox Randy Pitchford “I willingly and lovingly acquired the brand. When I did that, I wasn’t thinking that the only goal is just to make sure everyone could play Duke Nukem Forever,” Pitchford told IGN. “The real goal for me is I’d like to build a Duke Nukem game again.” Pitchford also said, “I’m much happier living in a world where Duke is alive and not dead.”
"He also said, “I think what I would do and what Gearbox would do would be a little different” and that “it would be amazing, and I look forward to that.”
Ha ha. What can I say? I've just got that sort of face, I guess. Thanks for commenting! You've been giving me and Splinter some great material to talk about for the podcast!
