Hey Grant, did you see Avatar already? In the Sci-Fi episode, I actually agreed with you about the movie, but I am curious on what did you think about the movie having actually seen it.
I actually found it to be just OK, it had entertaining moments, but I think people are giving it a pass just because it is James Cameron, and a gimmick (The fact that it is in 3D) doesn't make the fact that we have seen this story a thousand times before any different.
Besides, if you have seen the trailer, you already know the whole plot of the movie.
Of course, it isn't bad, by any means, its just not that great, that's all.
Gee I don't know if I could actually add anything to the myriad of theories that must already be flying about...
I tend to be quite passive when it comes to mysteries and conspiracies. I like to sit back and watch them unfold as they will. Being "right" or "knowing" isn't really a concern for me. Besides, anything I would think of has probably already been brought up.
I am definitely looking forward to season 6 and I have hope that the writers know what they are doing.
Personally, I'd like to talk or chat with you to hear your thoughts sometime.
Ha ha! Just listened to LEOG volume 2 episode 2.5 where you guys talk about Lost and Battlestar Galactica. The discussion on Lost was talking about exactly where I am right now :D
Any thoughts in retrospect?
I'm well into Season 5 now. (My one episode per day rule only applied up until Season 4) Hot damn I'm loving it :)
Did I thank you for convincing me to start watching this series? I'm pretty sure I did, but let me thank you again. THANK YOU.
I'm going to go back and listen to the LEOG podcasts where you guys talked about Lost. I'm sure I'll be listening to them under an entirely different light now :D
Hey Grant its funny everytime you guys mention Starwars on LEOG wether its a joke or a serious disscussion about it I feel like I'm right there with you guys talkin about it! LONG LIVE THE LEAGUE!
Ooh, when you get your new PS3, do tell me what your online ID is so I can add you. I doubt we'll be able to play together online much, but it will be nice to maybe chat or just see each other around :)
Hey Grant, Help me! I am in accounting, I'm mid 40's, and I been married to a woman for 15 yrs and I love "Glee". What is wrong with me? maybe it is because they use older songs that I have an affection for.
plus, Now the League has girls , Please tell me the single guy are at least trying to make a move!
I still have 3 episodes left of season 4 to go (3 more days) I'm absolutely loving it.
As for the season 3 finale, that has taken the number 1 spot on my list of all-time favorite season endings. (Thus the change in my avatar) It just hit so many emotional marks for me, I just couldn't get enough. Lost is my most favorite TV series ever. Waiting for Season 6 to come out on blueray is going to be sheer torture...
Oh no!!!! And by the way if you didn't see the Top Chef finale, don't read on.
Are you serious, michael wins? I am calling bullshit, they totally made it look like Bryan was going to win when everyone was tasting the food, then they throw us a curve ball. And our boy Kevin came in a shameful third. He totally came up with the shitty end of the sous chef pairings, Preeti and Ash were definitely no Jennifer or Eli. But I did love how they reveal that Kevin got accepted to MIT and decided to cook instead of go to the number 1 engineering school in the U.S..
Oh well I really can't feel too bad though, Kevin did walk away with easily $80k-$100K worth of prizes, plus a crap-ton of promised features in magazines and competitions. Just angry thtat the one guy I really didn't want to win it, walked away with the prize.
Almost done with Season 4 and my blueray copy of Season 5 should be arriving today :)
If you can, I would definitely go with blueray (only if you have a hi-def compatable monitor) There is a noticable difference in video quality. However, once you go blueray, you will find yourself hesitating on whether to get blueray or DVD versions of movies.
