Hey-cleaning out my email inbox I saw that I neglected to answer your Metropolis question. The problem w/ Metropolis is, due to the fact that it is in the public domain, any ass with a third generation VHS of a badly deteriorated 70 year old print can make a digital copy of it and slap a price tag on it. Also, over the last 20 years or so the people that truly care about preserving film have dug up additional footage.
For my money the Kino International folks tend to set the standard for the restorations. The ultimate Metropolis available is probably The Complete Metropolis-here's the Blu-ray link, but it is available on DVD as well:
Yes, I still own and run the domain. The site is just one part of it - I've got a whole slew of files, videos, images, scripts, etc that I run from it and I can't think of a way to keep those files active on the internet otherwise. I've considered building my own server (so that I don't have to keep paying for yearly hosting), but that's a ways off and I don't have anywhere to put it.

I'm currently on SiteGround because they're affordable and allow you a lot more access to your server files than other hosting companies do.
