I agree that "Antichrist" was more thought provoking, perhaps the most provocative film of the year, which is to say, some folks are naturally gonna hands-down despise it. "A Serious Man" feels more like an unfinished project, a half-hearted attempt at cultural humor that ultimately didn't have a point.
About "A Serious Man", it was the story of Job from the bible, only in this case, his faith wavered and God took his son from him. I don't understand WHY the Cohens wanted to tell this story, especially since they're not particularly religious folk, but they did.
Watchmen wasn't as good as it could have been - but it didn't piss me off. NCFOM completely pissed me off. Still does. I'll watch Watchmen again, but not NCFOM - there's just nothing redeeming there for me.
