'X-Men: First Class' just released two brand new US posters via their official Facebook page and they are... well, terrible. Normally, we're not the kind of site to just blatantly put that out there, but these are the kind of posters that really make you stop and wonder how something like this gets through the various channels and system of managerial checks that a large company like Fox undoubtedly has. The posters - which will be appearing in theaters nationwide this weekend - are simply just crudely-drawn silhouettes of the characters, with grainy low-resolution images of the actors head haphazardly and poorly photoshopped into the middle of them:
Now, despite our earlier hastiness, let's not blame Fox. Posters aren't an indicator of a film's quality and I'm sure they have several marketing subcompanies working for them, and this one just kind of happened. However, when compared to the awesome international posters released just last week (which you can see here), it's hard to imagine that this is the kind of image that Fox wants to present to potential ticket-buyers.
'X-Men: First Class' - directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring an ensemble cast featuring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, January Jones, and Rose Byrne - lands in theaters on June 3rd.

They certainly are not fine. They look like something a kid would do in an afternoon with his pirated copy of Photoshop.

We would ask that members of the Spill community refrain from using the words "Photoshop" ,and any reference to it's likeness i.e "photoshopped", when expressing their opinion about the recent poster campaign for X-Men: First Class. Non of our products were used in production of this marketing promotion by 20th Century Fox and their affiliates.Thank You.
