IESB reports that 20th Century Fox has hired writer Kyle Ward to write the sequel to 2007's Hitman, which made almost $100 million worldwide.

The first film, based on the video game of the same name, was directed by Xavier Gens and starred Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott, Olga Kurylenko, Robert Knepper, Ulrich Thomsen and Michael Offei.

The 1st time I saw it, I hated it. The 2nd time, I merely did not like it and the 3rd time, I thought it was just okay. Here's my idea for Hitman 2
"The mysterious Hitman is left in shambles when he accidentely scanned in a Wal Mart"

It kinda makes you want to apologize to Uwe Boll for singling him out for bad video game movies all these years.

Didn't the first film tank badly? So how do they expect to recover?

Why didn't they hire a writer for the first film?

I love the hell out of that game and Fox is the one who has the rights to the adaptation... what the fuck is wrong with this world?!

I hope they have David Bateson-the actual model and voice actor for 47-in this movie, but Hollywood will most assuredly fuck it up again.

Well, it does not really matter to me. I'm not going to see it...unless of course Olga Kurylenko wears a skintight black spandex catsuit and wields a bullwhip on multiple bad guys, then I might see it. Or is she goes disquiesed as a teenage girl in a private Roman Catholic prepschool where she has to seduce a priest and a nun. But that's the moving I'm directing and producing inside my skull and not the one that's going to get flung up on the direct to DVD glowing rectangle.
