If it's crap ... We'll tell you
'Lost' star Matthew Fox and actor Ed Harris are the lastest to enter talks with Apparatus Productions and Paramount Pictures to join the upcoming adaption of Max Brooks' 'World War Z'. Set ten years after a global zombie epidemic, the film tells the tale of a researcher for the UN Postwar Commission (played by Brad Pitt) who travels around the world to collect the stories of several survivors to see what he can learn about the undead creatures in order to compile a "zombie survival guide"
While Fox is reportedly in negotiations to play a character named "Parajumper", there is no word on Harris' role in the film. Other actors currently in talks to join the film include Alicia Vikander, Mireille Enos and Anthony Mackie. After a long struggle with the $125mil budget (which resulted in several small production companies sharing the cost), production on the film is set to begin next month in London and move on to Malta and various other international locales.
Adapted for the screen by J. Michael Stracynski, 'World War Z' will be in theaters summer 2012.
