Willis In Talks for Three Action Flicks

Source: The Hollywood Reporter

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Bruce Willis has been in discussions to star in three action movies: a thriller for NuImage/Millenium titled Inventory, the CIA tale Red for Summit and the mob biopic Scarpa for Morgan Creek.

In Inventory, Willis would play a detective on the trail of a murderer.

In Red, Willis would portray a former black-ops agent who has gone into retirement but is forced back into action when a high-tech assassin threatens him and his girlfriend. Erich and Jon Hoeber are writing the screenplay, which is based on the WildStorm/DC Comic.

In Scarpa, a mob biopic directed by Tears of the Sun helmer Antoine Fuqua, Willis would play the title character, Greg Scarpa, who is an FBI informant who worked deeply undercover in New York’s Columbo family.

Love him or hate him, Bruce does action. I'd like to see him in a role similar to 12 Monkeys. His best film outside of DieHard.

The first two movies he'll be in have been made into movies way to many times before and to be honest, just hearing about it makes me sick.

I'm sorry, but I don't like any of these ideas. Inventory has been done too many times before, and I can't see Bruce Willis as a real detective, only as that over the top action guy.

I don't like the plot for Red at all. Bottom line.

Lastly, Scarpa sounds cool, but I can't see Bruce Willis playing that character either.

Just my opinion.

Yes! Now that is the Bruce we all know and love! Good to see that he and Fuqua are working together again, I loved Willis in Tears of the Sun.

"Red" is based on a comic book written by Warren Ellis. It was a good, three issue mini-series. Not very original, but just a good, entertaining action book. Willis seems perfect for the role (though, it would be really great with Liam Neeson).

It's weird they're still calling it "Red" and bought the rights since it looks like they’re almost completely changing the story. Originally it was the CIA who tried to assassinate the main character, who was a former CIA assassin. He decided to make them suffer for disturbing his retirement. He wasn’t really a good guy (e.g. as far as I can remember - he kills a cop). Could've been pretty good movie.

I've always liked Bruce, especially in the Die Hards, it'd be good to see him in an "I'm too old for this shit!" kind of role!
