As one of the biggest batman fanatics fans you'll ever meet I get why you guys now all love him so much, and I can't wait to pick up a copy of The Dark Knight on DVD/ Blu-Ray when it's released on Dec. 9th, too.
It outed enough of you closet-Batman fans to the tune of almost $1 billion (so far) and a ranking as the #2 highest grossing movie of all time. And unlike Titanic, that aren't an almost equal number of people that hate it too.
You all LOVE The Dark Knight! It excites you. It inspires you. You're all caught up in the mania. I get that. It's cool. Go with it. It's the perfect opportunity for the geeks to mix in with the normals and let your freak flags fly. To not be afraid to let everybody know how individual you are!
...But the other day as I looked over the comments posted to my page and messages that are sent to me from Spill friends I was somewhat...alarmed. So i just gotta ask:
ARE THERE ANY SPILL MEMBERS THAT AREN'T USING THE JOKER FOR THEIR ICON??

Did you ever count the number of people wearing star Wars teeshirts when it came out? :D It's a phase, many people relate to the character for it's originality and the brilliance of the performance, fair enough. I'm bugged about some people using it as a reflection of their own personnality, which it clearly can't be, but it's the same for everything.
I don't agree with people taking the opposite extreme by saying the movie is over-rated, you have to give credit to this picture: it is one of the best movies in recent history as far as comic book adaptation AND "thrillers" are concerned. I personnaly enjoy it because it's a great thriller; it happens to be about Batman but I don't really care for the character inb itself.
