WHY IM HYPED FOR THE EXPENDABLES

If you have not seen them......WHATS WRONG WITH YOU! Check'em out

NEW TEASER TRAILERhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VgJtfffrl0

TRAILER: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gf4aJceP_gs&playnext_from=TL&...

HISTORY OF GROWING UP:
As a child born and raised in the mid 80's and like most red blooded males born during the 80's you were either a Stallone fan or Arnold fan and hell most were both like myself. Raised on pure action packed adventures that had little story or in some cases no story but these films were made to make you forget about the real world and join in on a action packed ride to hell. That's what made the 80's what it is, Not these slick Spy films that have editing that cuts so fast that it makes it impossible to view. No the 80's was raw muscle and lot's of it.

Now when i was a kid even at the age of 5 I had one dream when it came to movies and that was to see my 2 heroes as a child growing up teaming up to do a film. Sadly the years past on one by one and my dream was fading away as i became older I thought this childhood dream of mine was lost forever.

Stallone had become a shadow of himself making films like The Specialist , Judge Dredd, Avenging Angelo and the god aweful Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. It seemed like Stallones day had finally came but then there was still hope when he made filmslike Copland and a little unknown film called Shade.

However Stallone seemed past it and then we had Arnold who was fading away himself. Still making big films he turned his back on film making to take up Politics and that was the end of my dream. NEVER would i see Stallone doing what he did best and never again would I see Arnold blowing the shit out of people ever again. At least so I thought.

ROCKY BALBOA: Stallone considered past it and a dog who has had his day but then he tells the world one last Rocky would be on the way. People laughed and thought he was joking ( I was one of them ) but he did the unthinkable and brought us a truly great film that showed us he was not past it and that the return of Stallone could be returning.

While Arnold still working as the Governator Stallone took on another old time fav as he brought back JOHN RAMBO in what is now to be the last adventure of the human killing machine and this was not jus the return of a classic hero but also the return of a style of film that had not been seen in MANY MANY years.

Rambo shocked many with it's raw blood and guts pure action that held back on nothing and it made us

remember why we loved guys like Rambo but sadly we forgot about these guys as we were now use to names like Jason Bourne, Jack Sparrow as our action heroes.

Stallone showed us once again what pure action was and he held nothing back and with the rise of another old time actor with a small film called The Wrestler NOW was the time for the greats of film to do what should have been done years ago. THE EXPENDABLES

POSITIVES:
I could list a million of them but lucky for you I won't do that so here are just a few. The first being the cast of course that goes without saying but this can work for the film and against it as there are still many who look at this as a bunch of old men past it trying to find some of their young glory days again.

Another Positive is the return of a 80's style action flick on the big screen with a big cast. There has been a growing trend of this with films like Crank but this is really the big one we have been waiting for. A Magnificent seven style of film using some of the all time greatest action stars you can bet this will have most males hooked to see it.

Sly in the directors chair is one positive that has me hyped more then most things about this film. for some reason whenever Stallone steps behind the camera he seems to play his own part better and can take total control over all aspects of the film and what do i mean by that....Rocky II, III, IV, BALBOA. RAMBO (IV) BUT with that said he also directed Paradise Alley and Staying Alive BUT if you take that on board I'll also list the films he has written or HELPED write.

Rocky 1,2,3,4,5,6, FIST, First Blood 1,2 and Rambo III and IV, Cliffhanger, Although the film was not great "Driven" He seemed to play the part well....BUT NOW onto what worries me

THE CONS:
There is not much that worries me but there is some....One being all BIG STARS and now story! Now I don't see Stallone doing this but seeing how he has a bigger cast i hope all have decided to put their egos aside for the story and characters. I can't see anyone demanding to have more screen time but you just never know, Actors are actors after all.

TOO MANY one liners. I don't want a film of inside 80's jokes. I do expect to get a few and one can be seen in the trailer when Arnold says "He loves playing in the Jungle" Clearly refuring to Stallone as Rambo. I don't mind some great one liners and I hope we get some but PLEASE don't slow the movie down to cut to someone with something smart to say, At least not all the time.

FINSINING THOUGHT:
Well that's it either you agree or don't agree but I for one can't wait for this film. Am i expecting too much from it well no i don't think so. I am expecting to get a fun full on film that takes me back to the glory days of action films but I also don't expect this to be a blood bath like the last Rambo film....I know many fans want that but you also need to take into account Stallone wants to make money out of this so if I were you don't expect a insane war style of film like the last Rambo.
