For those just tuning in, you might be wondering, "What the hell was up with the Poptarts?" Well, possibly the most exciting thing to happen to Spill in a long time, was what! I am proud to have been a witness of it from the beginning. The following events recounted will be kept for posterity sake so I will try to be clear.

It was another quiet night on Spill. All was calm and the and the activity was filling up with the usual tripe, as always. All was content with the carousel of crap that was the activity feed. Until, a member (who thought nothing of it), posted a Photoshopped image of a certain soft-lit, slightly blurry image of a prominent member wherein her camera phone was replaced with a harmless strawberry Poptart (as part of an internet meme), examples below:

Almost immediately, it was stricken from the collective photo album.

Probably not seeing the harm in it, it was posted again. Only to be met with the same vengeance once again.

To humor mostly myself and test if this treatment applied to anything to do with this meme, I posted Photoshopped images of other bathroom self-portraits with Poptarts replacing their camera-phones. Though taking considerably a lot longer than the one who posted before, it was eventually taken down. The time for them to be taken down, however, was long enough to get the certain person's panties all twisted in a knot.

What followed afterwards was nigh 2 hours of madness. Status updates on the same subject were never posted with more confusion, anger, fervor, and toaster pastry related. How it was...delicious.

False accounts were even created to fuel the insanity (Not to name names, but I'm sure I knew who it was). Like a true sugar high, it was explosive, sweet, and brief. A night destined to forever live in infamy for those who witnessed it but I will always remember it with great fondness; saccharine sweet but all too brief.

Thank you, Spill. I love you for moments like these: where the site is united under a banner of something so silly as toaster-pastries. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
