The Walt Disney Co. announced Monday that it has agreed to purchase comic book and action hero company Marvel Entertainment for about $4 billion.The CEO of Disney said this
"We believe that adding Marvel to Disney’s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation,"
Marvel has launched a large number of action-hero movies over the past decade. Last summer’s "Iron Man" blockbuster was the first to be fully financed and produced by by the comic book company.The CEO also said
"Disney is the perfect home for Marvel’s fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses," said Marvel Chief Executive Ike Perlmutter. "This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney’s tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world."
This is the owrst thing Marvel has ever done.It can go above the film Deadpool. Really Disney...Marvel has some of the most violent characters ever. Wolverine really he's a animal what are they going to do now make Wolverine into a Goofy type character. A crossover between Howard the Duck and Donald Duck. what new comics now "What if...Iron Man met Hannah Montana"???. I really think this is a bad idea. People have said that they are doing it top have Marvel rides, but they bought the Enterprises for 4 billion. That's not rides that something else.This is really just tremendously dumb and mindless desition on marvel's part....Damn

Is like if i became a shareholder for a donnutshop i giv them a good chunk of money so they can improve they place eventually if they place do good ill double the amount that i used on they place but i have no power too control wht do they put in the doughtnuts so hopefully that will giv you a idea why dis wont affect marvel in anyway.

This isthe darkest day of marvel until stan lee dies than that day will be darker but still.I think disney is just a shareholder with means they get a big chunk of marvel profits.Dont be scared they dont have the creative owner ship so disney does not control marvel they are just getting part of they money gain by marvel so they will only help it in publicity not on making a newer marvel that is more town down so no worrys marvel will be marvel they only difirence is that disney will put them in there shit nothing more.I hope this calm your nerves a little Atomic comic nerd lets hope for the best.
