what i believe needs to happen with superhero films, and what needs to be left alone

I am a huge comic book film fanatic, but i believe that several things have happened that need to be left alone. Here is the rundown of things that need to happen.

1. Leave Chris Nolan alone for a while, and batman in general: Now i love the Dark Knight, but i am sick of all these rumors i keep hearing. I believe that everyone needs to give Christopher Nolan a few years to relax, and to actually think about what he is going to do. There is rarely a good third film in a trilogy, and i believe that Chris Nolan can make one if he is given a while to recover from all the praise of the Dark Knight. Also, after the third film, there is no reason for another Batman film to be made, ever. We've seen it all, from good to plain bulls***!.

2. Enough with trying to do something with Superman: I recently found out that yet another superman reboot is in developement! Now, i wasn't blown away with Superman Returns, but now they're just trying to top Richard Donner's Superman and Superman II. To put it simply, you can't. Chris Reeve (god rest his soul) is superman. What else can they do with this character? It's been done and done well. Don't tarnish it's reputation. Regarding the reboot, get a more experienced director and a new Lois Lane and maybe a new Superman.

3. Experiment with other superheroes: I have noticed that there have been many characters that have never made it to the big screen in recent time. I look forward to Thor because i think Kenneth Branaugh will do a great job with the character. I would like to c a Wonder Woman film or a Green Lantern film soon, not rebooting ones that already been seen several time. On the marvel side, i want to see the captain america film, and a doctor strange film. all im sayin is try somethin new.

4. Spider Man: WTF? Now, spider man is one of my favorite comics, but i don't think 5 films are necessary. I think the first 2 spider man films were well done and the actors were perfectly cast. When it got to spiderman 3, i thought there was too much going on and a lot of stuff was out of place. I also thought Venom was totally miscast and sandman was not enough of a villain to pose a threat. With this 4th film, i would like to experiment with the clone saga, or have a villain such as the lizard, electro, mysterio, or carnage as central villains. And this time, limit to 1 or 2 villains. After 5, dont make another spiderman film before his reputation is ruined. Maybe we'll get rubber nipples on his suit if this keeps going. groan.

Thats all i gotta say. Please leave comments

We might jinx Nolan. Because after Batman Begins, there wasn't alot of hype concerning the dark Knight until a year before it's release. Now all we can do is foam at the mouth over Christopher Nolan's third Batman film. He will make it. Warner Bros. will make him. No matter what anyone says, everybody wants an extra 25 million in their bank account.

I don't know what to say about the 1 and 2, but I have some to say about the other 2.

3. Where are the DC heroes? At least half or 2/3 of the major Marvel characters have movies. All DC can seem to think of is Batman and Superman. The entire Justice League should have a movie(excluding maybe Martian Manhunter) and I don't mean a JL movie. I mean separate stories. WW? Green Lantern? The Flash? Come on now. Marvel is going strong with Thor, Cap, Wasp/Ant-Man, and such on the way. I love Marvel, but I'm also waiting for DC to step up. I also would be intrigued to see a Moon Knight movie since I hear everybody telling me he's so cool as a character.

4. The next one cannot have the symbiote or any form of Goblin or it'll flop. It's just a feeling I have. Trying to do the Sinister Six, Clone Saga, or just Lizard/Electro/Mysterio would work fine as well. Just no Carnage/Venom/crap. Also, don't bring Sandman back. He was so pointless in the movie. Spidey beats on him almost everytime they meet and he has a minimum role. In the last climactic fight, he's reduced to being a Power Rangers giant monster. Really? A big sand monster? Say you came in on the last half hour. You're a Spider-Man fan. You'll be able to catch Venom easily, but then you'd be like "I don't remember Spidey fighting a giant sand beast. Wait! Sandman?" If he was forced to throw in Venom, he should've cut Sandy and focused on the symbiote.

1. If Nolan decides he wants to make a third Batman, it would surprise in the very least that it would top the second. Because there are things about the current film that need to be fixed in order to make a perfect Batman movie. The fight scenes need a huge improvement, and some of the cinematography for those shots need to be mapped out better. And they also need a pretty strong female lead, and because the amount of source material lends itself to plenty of possibilities, you can find great leading actresses to play those parts. One in particular, someone to play Sarah Essen, or for fanboys who are looking to be satisfied, Selina Kyle. Of course, there should be a indefinite amount of time to think this through, so I agree Nolan needs time before such ideas make the round.

2. I have to politely disagree with you about Superman. I think he needs a makeover in the movies in the most desperate way possible. I have yet to see a Superman that utilizes epic conflicts with foes that would pose a better challenge than what we've encountered in the past. Superman vs. Metallo, or Superman vs. Braniac. God forbid, Superman vs. Darkseid. Stories like that can make for a balls-to-the-wall fight for the Man of Steel. And I also disagree with recasting Superman. Brandon Routh is Superman, now. He understands the character more than those lamebrains who want to make him or the story darker. The only way to make a dark Superman movie is if you use the The Death of Superman storyline, but it's been done already. I say stiff competition is all he needs, not catching people from falling buildings.

3. Have to agree with finding other superheroes. After seeing Iron Man, the possibilities for Marvel seems endless. We will see Thor, Cap, and The Avengers within the next three or four years, and I'm actually eager about the Mighty Thor. Can't you tell? I wish the same could be said for DC. Seems Batman and Superman work out well, but why Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and The Flash haven't had such big screen exposure is beyond me. Wonder Woman should have been done 10 years ago, and you had Lucy Lawless primed for that role. Now it's become a struggle of Amazonian proportions just to get a deal in place. MDS is not the only one who loves Wonder Woman, and I want DC to man-up and give its heroes the star treatment.

4. Spider-Man seems to be going through very awkward stages, both in the comics and in the movies. I think Spider-Man 3 would have been solid had they really made a well-thought story and not worry so much about the fanboys who wanted to see Venom. Raimi needs to stick to his guns next go around and actually develop characters and choose villains that aren't just flash in the pan. I would like to see the Sinister Six. Any combination could work. But what I hope Spidey 4 and 5 accomplish is they actually follow through with what Spider-Man 2 promised, a darker time and a true test for Pete.

And Captain Amazing, and Truth Justin and the American Way
and they would all probably suck
If they use new superheroes, they have to be good (no shit)
they shouldn't just keep on throwing them out there for originality's sake. There has to be some sort of awesome reason for it. I personally think the He-Man movie will suck, if it ever comes out, and if it's more than just a rumor.
other than the new superheroes one, I agree

The Tick should be made into a movie, except it would probably suck, so nevermind

1. God bless. Of course we should leave Nolan's alone. I would like to see another original from him. He actually hasn't made one since Memento (Insonia was a remake of a Norwegin film, we all know what Batman is, and The Prestige was a novel). I'm not saying those other movies are bad, he has not made a bad movie yet, but I would nice to see something from his imagination. Actuall, now that I think about it, Memeto was based on an idea from his brother (the co-writer of The Dark Knight) for a short story that actually wasn't written until after the movie came out.

2. I just got four words: LET SUPERMAN FIGHT ALIENS!!! And not other Krytonian (although Terence Stamp was a bad mother fucker) I mean weird looking, strong, are actually a threat to Supes aliens. Doomsday...COME ON!!! No more Lex Luthor, he has run his course in the movies and if they do Luthor make him a serious villian and not a comic one.

3. I want to see more heros that haven't been on screne before too. I can't wait for Mike Allred to do Madman (he's actually directing it). Although I would like to see a Daredevil reboot. Make it something like The Dark Knight but at a smaller scale.

4. I think the best thing to do is to maybe wait 10, 20 years and reboot Spidey. Make his costume less shiney and underarmoury and actually make him comicall. The best Spidey come back in the movies was "Mommy and Daddy are talking". Yeah. Just make him a little less bruting but still show the weight of the whole powers and responcibility thing.
Oh, and maybe try, not nessicarily put in, but try to but the webshooters in.

1. All I want is for them to wait until Christian Bale is an old man, and then make "The Dark Knight Returns." A dream, but that would make my life complete.

2. I'm sorry, but I always found Superman to be the epitome of the Golden Age superhero: bland and one-dimensional. What are his basic powers? Flight and Super Strength. Sure, he has a shitload of other powers that his writers have always conveniently used when necessary, but there is no interesting basis for his powers, like Spiderman, Green Arrow, Batman, etc. The fact that he is the quintessential "good guy" ironically makes him that much less appealing; because Superman always is good and does the "right thing," he can't have any moral conflict that does not involve Lois Lane, his outsider nature, or his guilt of being a sole survivor of Krypton, which are all conflicts that have been done millions of times.

3. I would also love to see a good Green Arrow movie, along with a good Green Lantern, Moon Knight, and Flash movie.

4. Make one more film to tie everything together and fix the massive fuckup the third Spiderman movie was, but that's it.
