I loved burn after reading, that was my second favorite movie of the year (the dark knight) but once again, that movie isn't good enough for them. I wish it was though cause it deserves an award!

I thought "Vicky Christina Barcelona" had a great script, nice to see it get some attention.
also great to "The Dark Knight" and "Burn After Reading"

Luis, I hope you're joking.

Waltz with Bashir has gotta win for the screenplay, it's elegant and I like the psychological noire film to it. A war film not about the war at all.

No contest between Dark Knight and Slumdog for adapted screenplay. Slumdog is so tight, every frame speaks volumes.

I really missed out on Visitor, and sad, because I love that dude from Six Feet Under.

Fuck MILK, just because its about a gay guy, thats the only reason its getting attention just like brokeback mountain.

Burn after reading or the Wrestler should win.

Oh man I haven't yet seen any of the Documentaries, but I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to see a lot of them... Especially "Gonzo" and "Waltz w/ Bashir"

Wow, I never knew that "Milk" and "The Wrestler" had original screenplays; it's nice to see a year where there's actually competition for that. By the way, even though "The Dark Knight" had a whole lot of great screenwriting, there are some dumb, obviously trailer-made lines.

Anyways, I think these should win:

Original: "Milk"

Adapted: "Frost/Nixon"

Documentary: haven't seen any of them but I heard "Waltz with Bashir" is great

phew tough choices, all are pretty amazing; minus burn after reading since I think the Coens can go shove a hand grenade up a dark and scary place
