Excuse me. Hi. Man, U will have to excuse me. Fighting a cold here. Apparently my sweet prince of a doctor gave me meds that were nothing more than a Placebo. So, for anyone who heard the podcast might have caught a hint or a cough of a sniff here and there throughout that 2 hours 30 mins of awesomeness. Me and BDiddy gave ya. Of course I had to hide that from U guys, cause come on. The idea of GBTG being ill on a podcast isn’t a nice thought. But here I can “man flu” this shit for all it’s worth ya know? =D

So we all know how I’ am but how about you? How are you dear W-E reader? Hmmm. I see. So you didn’t plan to the Halloween party like that? It just happened. Hmmm. Aye good.

Ok, well I’m going to crack one off today. Don’t feel up to it. Oh I know cracking on off reduces stress. Lowers the heart rate and all of that. But I wouldn’t be able to get a good hard grip of my crock and if I sneezed or cough it would go ever where. So I’ll just take a zip of some W.AN.K tonic. That’s right. I’m still drinking it. Roger Rabbit 2: Two-Dimensional Toons & CGI Humans?


*spits out tonic* DAMN IT!!! Ugh. Man. I had a mouth full of W.A.N.K juice there. Look at this mess caused when I spat it out. UGH…

K, well withput further ado. Lets look at the first story then.

Sir Ian McKellen was given a peek at a draft version of the Hobbit script. The man who would take on the Gandalf role in the Hobbit movie was naturally tight lipped over what he read but after a Grasshopper drink combo I got Ian to say this about both character and movie…

And on Gand, he said this…
“As Peter [Jackson] has said, they loved writing Gandalf [for The Hobbit] because they knew who they were writing him for… There are a lot of characters in The Hobbit, including, crucially, Bilbo, and they don’t know who’s going to play Bilbo. So it’s extremely attractive that this part has been written for me. The other Gandalf was written for, well, just as Gandalf. There’s lots for me to enjoy, in all sorts of ways. And I couldn’t be happier. But I’m sworn to secrecy. I’m not to say anything at all about the script.“I can’t believe it’s 10 years for me… I remember being told by a friend in Hollywood that ‘your life is going to change,’ and it has. Gandalf is an extremely famous character, and I quite like having him around the corner. He’s very popular.”

Do I know how to get the scoops or what? Ok, so we don’t have all the burning questions answered yet but at least we know a script exists and that Ian is down for it. I’m kind of interested in this film, but I was only a casual viewer of the LOTR films so my status for this film will be the same I suspect.

Last week I putting Neil Patrick’s name to be at least considered to host the Oscars next year. A fruitless task in the end as we now cause of the news of Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin being picked for the job. But fear not NPH won’t let this stop him. If the suits in fucking H-wood don’t want Mr Harris then fine. Because he’s gonna go evil on their asses. Well kind of. The squeal to last year’s Dr Horrible Sing Along Blog was announced last week. Co star Nathan Fillion confirmed this when he said this stuff here that reads like this and shit...
“There are plans. The media for the sequel has not yet been decided, but there is a title. “Joss, I was talking to him right before we won the Emmy. He said that he’s finished writing a song or two. He told me a couple of verses to the song.”

Hmmmm. WHAT? Oh U still don’t believe me. Oh ok. Well first off suck it. Then once you’ve done that allow Caleb himself to open your eyes to the truth non believer. Ahem.



I’m not even going to even ask for an apology. There would be no point since I couldn’t hear U over the much larger sound of me being right… OH!!!! Lol.

I saw the first Dr Horrible back in March I’d say, when Spill’s own video master himself Itchinader. Not a fan of musicals in the least, but I guess if it’s funny and or sharply written (South Park movie) I can take an interest. That and given how the last one ended it will be cool to see what Joss can come up with. I shall keep U posted as soon as a title is released.

Many thought J.J Abrams should have been suited and booted when he first brought up a Star Trek reboot. Well that turned good for him and now he’s been asked about the squeal and what plans he has for it. Here’s what he said about the film and a certain (K)character.

“I think one of the byproducts of doing this movie was we were able to dispel the obvious and understandable concerns—how can ‘Star Trek’ possibly exist without those original cast members? Now that we are in a parallel existence with what fans of the original series love so much, we could introduce any number of characters, settings, references and situations that the original series introduced. Dealing with Khan would certainly be a challenge, but we had an equal challenge in finding our crew of the Enterprise. While I don’t want to approach the second film as a remake of episodes we’ve seen in the past… nothing is off limits in terms of what we’re discussing,” he said. “When Bob Orci and the others who know ‘Trek’ so well, the fun of working with them is they know this universe so deeply they’re the ones who are always considering what it means to deal with the stuff in the past, so it’ll be exciting.”

Now I have seen some of that Star Wars film and I know who Khan is. And of course “that scene”. So now thoughts turn to the possibility of Chris Pine yelling that line. An updated Khan might be good for the next for future ST films. But as always… we shall see. With both eyes no less.

Ok, that will about do it… Um…. A wee annoucment about W-E blog Next weekend me and B will be doing the podcasts at the actual weekend. So, I’m not sure how that will effect W-E blog as of yet.
