Live from the Dresden a few blocks from Mike’s apartment in the Los Feliz area of Los Angles “Here I come” California. I was out of the scene. But U always knew I’d be back like a Saw for every Halloween. Never mean, but always keen. Guy. What? U excepting a poem? That’s all I got dear reader. Lol. Yes, first an apology. And I’m gonna step out of character a second and not talk to you as Guy but as****. I need to say sorry to all my readers for lack of W-E over the last few weeks. As you all know I was on holiday (more on that in a tic) from Sep 4th of that week. When I came back, well I was behind on the news so I decided to let sleeping dogs lie. Um, last weekend I wasn’t in the best of shape both psychically and head wise and I can’t do W-E, shit I can’t write period if I’m not focused. But rightly or wrongly that impeded my writing of the blog. Well I’m back now, no worries man. Hopefully this doesn’t come across as “Sorry to my FANS” I only have a total of three or four regular readers who I feel the need the bust my ass for, anyone else is an added bonus. So hopefully you weren’t too disappointed U four guys. U know U are and you’re the lot I write this for and shit. And if U or any family members saw ceiling crawling babies with 360 degree turning heads, I do apologise. Ok, back to Guy mode. God. Did U check ****’s patter out. It reminds me of Pump the Volume film, and how Happy Harry “Hard-on” was soooo much cooler than Mark. Lol.

Well as I said the good news is that I’m back, still a tad rusty so don’t except too much here and I won’t be going away again until next year’s June. Um, although I can’t say where I was and what I did for that week I was gone exactly; I can say that I had a meeting with someone. An adviser if you will. Now U might be like, “Aye whatever Guy. Sure U did.” Well I did. Here is a pic of said adviser.

And I can’t speak of changes quite yet, but after forwarding him a copy of BDiddy’s hosting of Silver Surfer’s show from Friday there he is very keen to have her involved. Even did a wee dance, bootees and all. And said this, “OUY DEEN OT TARS A GOLB HTIW YDDID B” Hmmm. Cool accent some English folks have.

Ok, first story is about the Toy Story franchise.

Next summer Toy Story 3D will be coming out, but the smart people at Pixar have decided not to keep us guessing on what Toy Story 3D will look like when it comes out. So for two weeks starting next week you can see a double feature of Toy Story 1 & 2 in 3D. Here is a kind of “how to trailer” I think U might, MIGHT have to wear a certain pair of glasses……. Just don’t know which kind though??? Hmmmmm?????

3D cinema is making a big come back and as my next story will show it is spreading to all the genres. It will be interesting to see how this goes down. I can see TS 3 using 3D to it’s best ability and using good visuals and maybe as the two double feature trailers show. It might also use good audience interaction by way of breaking the 4th wall. When it comes to Toy Story it self, I seen both of them and I enjoyed them. Um, the move to 3D? Might be another good move on the part of Pixar… or a move to look cool and “in” I suppose none of that shit matters, as long the film is as good as the other two. Which knowing Pixar is something that diehards need not worry about.

More 3D news now. Patrick Lussier is a director with 3D experience as he is the man who directed the My Bloody Valentine 3D remake, that actually did ok for self all things con. As we know Rob Zombie made it clear that H2 would be his last Halloween film as he wants to work on other projects and also has a big tour coming up as well. So the TPTB aka Dimension films have gotten Lussier in to replace Rob in director role. Writing the script for the film will be Todd Farmer who also wrote the script of My Sweet Valentine 3D will pen H3D. Hmmm. Well. I’ll spare you from the usual “remake rant” it’s old hat for you by now. Lol. What I will say is that it will be interesting to see where it goes from here. Without giving away spoilers to H2 let me just say that there is away for the series to continue as is. BUT. If we are following the remake logic here then H3D should be different. A completely different story with NO Michael Myers or any of the surrounding cast. Take a look….


Yeah, this is one of these films. It’s so, so good. But so, so bad. The story is the said thoughts all at different times and has a WTF? Plot twist and not the good kind near the end. In case you didn’t know… I hate the idea of lazy H-wood remaking every goddamned horror film out there cause they can’t think if anything knew or even slightly original. That said and call it morbid as fuck curiosity, I’ am interested in seeing what they do with this. Odds are they’ll continue with the family Myers storyline for H3D. But I would have big time respect for both Lussier and Farmer if they got the balls big enough to take on Season of the Witch. Now as far as the 3D accept of the film? Well as I said this team did well enough with MBV 3D, so they have the know how I guess. The only I thing I think is dead wrong is the release date for the film which is summer 2010. I think that would make a rush job for the film to be all put together. The time frame is way too tight. But one or another Halloween lives again and now it’s in 3D MOWWWHHHHAAAAAAA. Either that or fall down to the knees and have a wee cry.

The X-Men future looks bright eh? Let’s see you have the Wolverine sequel in pre production. As is the Magento and New Class films, and also Deadpool which I’ll get to in a minute. But what about the one true X-Men film in all of this? X-men 4? Well at the Fox’s press presentation for the Wolverine Blue-ray release, producer Lauren Shuler Donner stated that as well as the films we already know about there was also plans for two other X-men films. The New Mutants and X-Men 4. This is good news no doubt but one would have to think that an X4 film would have to wait it’s turn what with the films I already mentioned already in the planning stages and New Mutants, but I’d ne willing to bet that gets made after X4. I like the X-Men films. Thought the first was good. Loved the second and got burnt on the third. Don’t get me wrong, the cure storyline was good but just badly done and there was so many needless deaths’ of good characters that you wonder how the fuck they can come back? But a fourth one I think would be good if done right and that primarily means giving Magneto the boot as the head villain and handing the gig over to Mister Sinister and or Apocalypse…

What with Magneto’s origin film probably being out beforehand, I think it would make a change of pace for Mag man to be a good guy and maybe side with, well Prof X more so than the actual X-men team to fight said either villain. And what about the director? Should Brian Singer be chased up? We tired it Bret Ratner’s way and that didn’t work too well. And I trust X-Men in Singer’s hands. I say that for two reasons. First being the series in general needs the pick me up. Second being Singer has a good history with the franchise and he has expressed interest in at the very least directing the Magneto film so Fox and one Lauren Shuler Donner should try and chase him up I think.

Twitter. Where you go if you want too know every hapless detail of everyone on the site. Glad we don’t that anything like that here. Anyhow for the most part Twitter is a rather fibrillose “update” site but sometimes you will get and update you might care about. Like take one Rob Liefeld, the creator of the Deadpool character and all round good chap =D He did some twittering about a meeting he was going to involving his “baby” The went like this…


First good news is that Ryan Reynolds is in board.

Now I haven’t seen Wolverine Origins so I can’t comment on what I though of him in it, but from the reviews and shit that I read at the time, Ryan did a good time before writers quite literally gagged him. The other details sound good too. And I got to toast the Cable comment. Loved that guy in the cartoon man.

Hey do you remember way back when I mentioned there Brian Singer? I know, cast yer mind back man. U got it yet? Cool.

Well I told you what I would like to see him do in the future. But here is what he may be doing in the future. He looks a dead cert to direct a film called Jack the Giant Killer.

Now at first director DJ Cauruso was set to direct. But he has been removed and now Singer is hot fave to replace him.

The story btw tells a story of humans and giants living together under a shaky ass truce if you will. One day a princess is kidnapped and the giants are blamed ( is it cause there tall?) Jack the hero of the story sets out to save her, mo….. I mean search party in hand and take on giants along the way, although for the love I have no idea what this Jack one does to these giants?

Singer is in big demand it would seem. He is also attached to Battle Star Galactica and Excalibur. He would make a good pick for this tall I think *dugs flying object* Gezz. Sorry.
Jack the Giant Killer is due out 2011.

I see Bale has managed to get himself looking worryingly thin again. Well he is playing a recovering drug addict so that’s cool. I just hope he doesn’t have topless scene in like that last movie he was where he was rake thin. (Forgot the name of film) As the video shows Wahlberg is well up for it, taking the training very serious indeed. I like the looks of this film. And it has an interesting too, that being that being pro boxer Micky is living an actual Rocky style tale. His half brother Dicke Edlund was once a boxer himself, but after turning to crime and drugs he is now a trainer who wants to train and help his bro in his quest to have the greatest fight’s ever with other boxer Arturo Gotti.
The film is directed by David O’ Russell and it will be out next year.


The Blues Brothers were on a mission from god when they wanted to put the band back together. I wonder what (green) force is guiding Bob Weinstein in wanting to put his Scream band together?
We know a while back that there would be a new Scream trilogy and we knew Courtney and David Arqeutte were the first sign up. But now Miss Syndey Prescott herself is on board as Neve Campbell will return to the lead role.

Bob also wants Wes Craven to direct this new trilogy.

I’m still iffy on this as it ended just fine after Scream 3. Told the story and wrapped it up all nice like. What can another trilogy say? The only two good things I can see is that it will be nice to go back to stalk and slash as I think this “torture porn” has been on top for a while and usually with a misdirected point to it. The film will go into production April/May of next year.

Now let’s look at pretty colours. No not that. Posters for upcoming movies man.

An interesting bunch there. The horror kid in me looks a Dread and Blood Creek. But so does Taking Woodstock and Imaginarium of doctor Parnassus. As far as the Tooth Hurts. Can’t decide what hurts the most. That title or the fact THIS is what The Rock is doing now. =(
