Watch The First Few Minutes Of 'Lockout'
I'm not the sort of person who likes to watch entire clips of movies online before I actually see them, especially those that reveal the film's opening sequence. However, far be it from me to deprive those that enjoy viewing these clips. To wit, we offer the first five (ish) minutes of 'Lockout.' This sci-fi actioner, co-written by Luc Besson ('The Fifth Element'), stars Guy Pearce as a convict sent into an orbiting prison after the rioting inmates take the president's daughter hostage. I have to say, I really did enjoy these opening scenes and hope the rest of the film maintains this energy. Take a look at the clip below and let us know what you think.

I think this movie can be pretty fun. Love Guy Pearce and Escape from New York so this looks right up my alley.

Oh, no, the punches are making strange noises and the army is acting wierd! This movie about prisons in space is asking me to suspend my disbelief! How dare you?!

There's a great restaurant near me and near our movie theatre. My best friend and I (before she got a girlfriend) used to go there on Saturdays when they had a Sangria deal (Gi-normous piture of sangria - $10), and then go to the movies just this side of drunk. We called it Sangria Saturdays.
This weekend, Lockout AND Cabin in the Woods are opening... I think it's time to resurrect Sangria Saturdays with a double feature. This looks like a TOTAL popcorn movie. So fun. I hope it keeps it up.

I don't know about you all, but this movie is just Escape from New York in space right? I mean almost literally note for note seeming. Not saying its a bad thing, just sayin.

I love the part when he tries to jump through the window. Yeah he'd probably make a decent Drake seeing how he practically already IS him in this movie. He's so snarky!
