That Guy Jv posted a statusI'm a big fan of geeky short films and it's great to come across one that employs unique twists on existing properties. To wit, I offer this 'Halo' inspired short film 'Battle of the Brick: Built For Combat' from Kooberz Studios. This epic short is constructed entirely of Legos using stop-motion animation to bring them to life. The animation is impressive as are the music and Foley work. It doesn't take itself too seriously as illustrated by the wackiness of the violence. It's also epic in its runtime, 27 minutes is pretty intense for any short film let alone one made one frame at time, but it is definitely worth it. I love the mumbled speech from the combatants as a reference to playing 'Halo' online with people who don't quite know how to use their microphones. If you're a fan of first-person shooters, especially 'Halo,' I think you'll dig this.

Wow! Sort of a statement on the pointlessness of war.

Comment by Adam on November 12, 2011 at 10:31am That was not only very good, in terms of story telling, but also impressive. I always thought animation like that, with legos was cool.
