Full scenes from 'John Carter' now? We must really be closing in on that release date. The scene released today from Andrew Stanton's film isn't what I'd call Earth-shattering, but it does give us a hint as to the flavor of the film's action sequences. It shows John Carter (Talyor Kitsch) leaping from a cliff to escape an advancing alien army. However, I have to say, Mark Strong among the CG aliens was the high point of the scene for me. Take a look at the scene and let us know what you think.

'John Carter' hits theaters March 9th

I was about to build my hopes for this....but that scene was crap. BADLY edited, too much obvious CGI....oy, I am disappoint, because I like John Carter.

March 9th, huh? I'm going to be busy masturbating that day, so I'm going to have to pass on this. Going by the trailers and scenes, I'm guessing the majority of Spill ratings to be Rental with Some Old Bullshit! sprinkled in for good measure. John Carter can go jump up his own ass, for all I care. Even the title, which is too similar to John Carpenter's The Ghosts of Mars, is boring.

The one who jumps explains it all.

@Pepe - It's set on Mars (approx. 60% of our gravity). Basically, John Carter is almost a superhero there.

A jump from that height onto a boat would, well, break both legs. They could have at least made it semi believable by jumping into the water first. Is this aimed at kids or what?

This looks like shit, seriously...why the fuck would anyone care bout this ?

I loved (LOVED) the books when I was growing up. It looks a bit like a TV movie to me...
